Evidence-based care and outcomes improve at Get With The Guidelines-Stroke hospitals

(American Heart Association) A study looking at the first 1 million patients in the Get With The Guideline-Stroke program shows significant improvement in the use of evidence-based stroke therapies at participating hospitals. Among hospitals participating in the program, there were significant reductions in in-hospital death after ischemic stroke and transient ischemic attacks from 2003 to 2009.
